Our new wordpress site, www.360floridakeys.com, has a black background. It also has over three hundred 360 degree spherical panoramas taken from a helicopter and underwater in the Florida Keys. The A-list just called it the 'best of the web" I thought that you might like it. I've never see a wordpress site that is anything like it.

What I like about Wordpress is that the themes are always neat. I hate sites that try too much. I believe that a simple theme can give a site the business look it needs.

WordPress is a very cool plugin to add to a website and it has many features that can help the owner manage the site in a very efficient way. That is what I like about WordPress, it is very efficient.

It's definitely harder to create a "clean" or "fresh" look with a black background, but certainly not impossible. My rule of thumb is NEVER use black as bkg. It tends to cause a sense of "busy-ness" to the site and makes text harder to read. If you do want to use it, perhaps make the bkg of your content white and just use black as the page bkg. Or, only use it for very simple sites (like photo portfolios). Brian from StudioPress has a dark WP theme that looks really nice. It's called Black Canvas.

great collection of sites. I'm just wondering about this “clean” sites as they always come in white. No sites in black? Does that mean that black sites are dirty? I surely think black background + red fonts are awful, but any tips for a black site to make it look attractive?
