Network Solutions Rebrands Website and Products

As many of you know, I’ve been a loyal customer of Network Solutions since 2006. After several disappointing attempts to set up ecommerce hosting with other big name companies, I was fortunate to find Network Solutions and I’ve never looked back.

Besides their fantastic 24/7 phone support, I truly believe Network Solutions is the leader in ecommerce hosting. With the ability to completely customize your storefront, import/export products and orders, offer gift certificates and discounts, display related products in product descriptions and much more, NS beats Yahoo Stores, Homestead, eBay ProStores, OS Commerce and every other shopping cart software I’ve come across in both quality and price!

Today, I received an email from Network Solutions regarding MAJOR changes they are making to their brand. It looks like they’ve decided to reinvent their website and tweak their products. Of course, I would have remained a happy customer anyways, but their new look does spark a little excitement in me (well, I am a web designer).

So, let’s take a little peak at some of the cool web 2.0 changes they will be making…

New Logo

I can’t really remember the last time Network Solutions changed their logo. Of course, this can be a tricky process if your brand is well established. Fortunately, they won’t be making any fatal errors with this change in my opinion. A glossy web 2.0 style initial box will now adorn their logo.

New Web Design

After getting a peak at their new design this morning, I can’t help but feel motivated to update some of my own websites. I LOVE their new design! It actually reminds me of the BuddyPress website. Each important block of content is organized within its own white box. It’s fresh, clean, modern and slick!

Have you ever noticed how many hosting company websites look EXACTLY the same? Seriously, they usually have a huge domain box on display and then stuff links to all of their products around it. They’re normally a little difficult to navigate and tend to be boring.

This was one of my pet peeves with Network Solutions since I know how advanced the company actually is. They’re one of the only web hosting companies that actually works at helping and teaching you how to create a successful online presence. But, their old website never got this message across.
