WordPress will be the same no matter what host you use. I would suggest you not use Network Solutions however as I've found they are really slow with WordPress sites. I transferred mine to TMDHosting this summer. You can learn more about it here: http://www.fresheventure.com/1339/transferring-

WordPress has a built in transfer tool that can import your exiting blogger site, so that shouldn't be a problem. Let me know how it goes!

Great video on installing WordPress into Network Solutions… thanks! I would like to make a simple, static webpage and I have a Network Solutions hosted website (that has never been setup or used). I have never setup a website before but I would like to use WordPress because my research tells me it’s free, easy to use and has a ton of templates I can choose from. My question to anyone who is willing to answer a very naive question: once WordPress is installed (per the video shown here), is there any other steps I need to take to actually make it the administrator program for my website or is it ready to go? Does, by the very fact that it is installed in a subdirectory on my website, automatically make it the administrator’s page? Sorry, if this is a silly question.

Besides slow load times, Network Solutions does not allow one to FTP files to the WordPress folders. This prevents one from manually changing themes or upgrading plug-ins or adding images (a particular theme I am trying to use seems to still require header images to be FTPed to the site).

Additionally, the single button plug-in and upgrades doesn't work. This is a mystery as to why that feature isn't working.

All this and they charge way too much for such limited capability.

I have been much happier with Lunarpages.

You can absolutely FTP files to your server with Network Solutions. In fact, you can skip the Easy WP Installation and upload WordPress yourself. You simply have to create an FTP account. Why do you think you are unable to FTP? Have you talked to their support team about the issue?

NS does seem to load slower than other hosts when it comes to WordPress, but their hosting fees are inexpensive and technical support is fantastic.

My new favorite WP host is TMD Hosting, but Network Solutions is still my absolute favorite for Ecommerce.
